| Public Transport and taxis | |
| Traveling on public transport is easy and inexpensive. There is a modern, efficient underground/tramway system with six lines that connect you with most sections of the city. A metro map can be downloaded here. Tram line 4 is an overhead tram which connects the city of Valencia to the beach. Furthermore there is a bus network with 91 bus lines by daytime, three of which are earmarked in the summer for services to the beaches, and 7 by night. Be sure to know which bus you are looking for and flag it down if you see it coming your way. If you want to get off the bus just press the button and the driver will let you off at the next stop. Taxis are quite inexpensive and easy to find. You can hail a taxi by raising your hand; a green illuminated light on the top of the taxi indicates that it is free. There are also several taxi ranks throughout the city. |
